A Taste of England Returns to the Farm: Join Us for Fish & Chips on June 20, 2026

Some traditions are worth holding onto.

At Cornman Farms, one of our favorite summer traditions is Fish & Chips, a simple meal with a rich history, inspired by the British roots of our Owner and Executive Chef, Kieron Hales.

On Saturday, June 20, we’re bringing this beloved pop-up back to the farm for one of its final appearances as part of our last season.

More Than a Meal

Fish and chips is often considered the quintessential English dish. For generations, it has been woven into the fabric of everyday life across the United Kingdom.

It was the meal grabbed on the way home from the pub. A payday treat at the end of a long week. A seaside indulgence enjoyed while watching the waves roll in. During both World Wars, fish and chips remained one of the few foods that wasn’t rationed, helping sustain families through difficult times.

For Chef Kieron, fish and chips is more than a menu item. It’s a taste of home.

“In the UK, you usually eat fish and chips at 9 o’clock at night, or at 10 o’clock in the morning, as soon as the fish and chip shop opens,” Kieron says. “The enjoyment is in the unwrapping of that paper and sitting on the hood of your car, where you’re usually attacked by seagulls.”

Thankfully, we’ve eliminated the seagulls.

What to Expect

Our Fish & Chips Pop-Up features golden battered cod served with thick-cut chips (that’s British for french fries), along with an assortment of sauces.

Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, and guests are welcome to enjoy their meal in our Red Barn or bring a picnic blanket and relax on the grounds.

It’s casual. It’s delicious. And it’s one of those experiences that feels uniquely Cornman Farms.
