Meet the Couple
Anna and Xander wanted one thing for their wedding day: to be surrounded by the outdoors, animals, children (including the seven children they had in their wedding party), and their family. Fortunately, they were able to get everything they had hoped for and more.
There is a sort of magic and kindness that surrounded us on our day. Sometimes weddings can become too much and then sometimes they can offer you the peace that best represents the love between you and your partner. That is what Cornman Farms was for us.
Anna & Xander
Getting Ready
Anna began the morning of her wedding with goat yoga on the Front Grove. Following their unique exercise class, Anna and her bridesmaids sipped mimosas while getting ready in the bridal suite. Meanwhile, Xander and his groomsmen relaxed in the Red Barn lounge, leisurely getting ready while playing farm games on the patio.
The Ceremony
The whole crowd drew their breath when Anna, a huge animal lover, arrived at the ceremony in a white, horse-drawn carriage. She walked down the aisle to the triangle shaped wedding arch, a centerpiece representing the union of Anna, Xander and her son, Hudson. During the ceremony, they presented Hudson with a wedding ring of his own (to be worn as a necklace) to show their commitment to him and their family. Last but not least, Xander and Anna prepared a “wedding tree”, which would be planted on the farm and live thereafter on the Cornman Farms property.
The Reception
While guests headed over to the Red Barn to enjoy cocktails, the kids found refuge in “Hudson’s Hangout”, a dedicated kid’s area featuring a tepee, lemonade stand and custom coloring books. Dinner took place in the Tent Pavilion, which was elegantly decorated with lighting, flowers, and greenery. Following their meal and speeches, Anna and Xander shared their first dance beneath the pergola, after which four-year-old Xander sang a shy rendition of “You Are My Sunshine” to his mom. Then, the after-party commenced as all went inside the Red Barn and hit the dance floor.
