Meet Hannah!
The Heart Behind the Lens at Cornman Farms

Some photographers capture what a wedding looks like.
Hannah captures what it feels like.

Her work is authentic, warm, and full of joy…but more than that, it’s grounded in deep care for the people she photographs. That care is what makes her such a beloved part of weddings here at Zingerman’s Cornman Farms, and why couples consistently tell us how calm, seen, and supported they felt with Hannah by their side.

Falling in Love With Weddings (By Accident)

Hannah’s path to wedding photography wasn’t planned.  It started when she photographed a friend’s wedding and realized she was witnessing something extraordinary.

“I was just in awe of the fact that I could be so intimately a part of someone’s happiest day,” she says. “I immediately felt a joy I hadn’t felt before and was hooked.”

What drew her in wasn’t just photography itself, but the energy of weddings: the traditions and non-traditions, the fast pace, the once-in-a-lifetime nature of the moments unfolding in front of her lens.

Her style today reflects that origin story: genuine, emotional, and deeply human.

A Connection to Cornman Farms From the Very Beginning

Hannah’s relationship with Cornman Farms goes back even further than many realize, long before the farm opened its gates for weddings.

She began working within the Zingerman’s Community of Businesses in 2005, first in merchandising and marketing at the Deli, and later as a web designer across the organization. Along the way, she picked up photography and naturally began documenting the farm as it came to life.

In fact, Hannah photographed the very first intimate wedding at Cornman Farms in 2016.

Today, photographing weddings here feels like coming home.

“It’s inviting. I never feel like just a vendor,” she shares. “I know every nook and cranny of the property, but I still find something new to be inspired by every time.”

If you ever hear a squeal of excitement during golden hour, chances are Hannah has just spotted the light filtering through the willow trees, her favorite place on the farm, especially as the sun dips low and everything glows.

Why Intimate Weddings Hold Her Heart

While Hannah has photographed hundreds of weddings, intimate and tiny weddings hold a special place for her.

“They get to the heart of what weddings are really about,” she says. “Two people who love each other, surrounded by the people they hold nearest and dearest.”

She notices that smaller weddings allow couples—and guests—to be more present. Couples can actually talk to everyone they invited. They can eat. They can breathe. They can feel the day instead of managing it.

Some of Hannah’s most memorable Cornman moments have come from couples marrying each other again:  second chances, renewed vows, and stories of finding one another all over again.

“The happiness they feel coming back to one another always sticks with me.”

Helping Couples Feel Like Themselves

If there’s one thing Hannah wants couples to know, it’s this: you don’t need to perform for the camera.

“Let go of the worry,” she says. “You’re marrying someone who loves you exactly as you are. Your worry shows up in photos.  Your joy does too.”

Her calm, warm presence helps couples settle in, be themselves, and forget the camera altogether. From fluffing dresses and pinning boutonnieres to quietly stepping back and letting moments unfold, Hannah balances gentle guidance with an almost fly-on-the-wall approach.

Couples often tell her the same thing afterward: the experience was far more relaxed, and far more fun, than they expected.

Her favorite moments to photograph? The anticipation of getting ready… and then everything after the first kiss, when the couple finally realizes: we’re married.

The Little Things That Matter Most

Hannah is always watching for the in-between moments: stolen glances, tiny touches, shared giggles.

She also loves capturing the details couples may not notice in the moment:  grandma’s ring, grandpa’s watch, a parent’s old cake topper. These are the pieces that carry meaning long after the day is over.

Her belief is simple but powerful: wedding photos are an investment in memory.

“You’re choosing someone to capture your story for generations,” she says. “This isn’t the time to chase trends.”

A Photographer With a Big Heart

Something couples are often surprised to learn about Hannah is that she’s also a medical mom and an advocate for medically complex children.

“I know deeply how important photos are of the people you love,” she shares.

That perspective—of time, tenderness, and what truly matters—infuses everything she does.

If she could dream up the perfect Cornman Farms wedding? It would be late summer. Photos  in the dahlia garden at golden hour. Barefoot running near the willow trees and pond. Kids with cake on their faces. Goats wandering by. Sparklers, s’mores, and laughter lingering into the night.

Looking Ahead

What keeps Hannah excited year after year isn’t the timeline or the logistics.  It’s the couples.

“Even after hundreds of weddings, I could live off the feeling of love shared on wedding days forever.”

And her hope for every couple she photographs?

That today’s images bring fond memories.  And that, 20 years from now, they bring them right back to how it felt to stand together, surrounded by love, on the day they said yes.
