Our Favorite Spots for Kids and Families at Cornman Farms
At our 27-acre farm wedding venue, love isn’t the only thing that grows — so do little imaginations! Whether they’re part of a small garden wedding ceremony, tagging along for a wedding reception in our big red barn, or visiting for a special event, kids always find their own kind of magic here. From wide-open fields to hidden nooks perfect for adventure, our farm is full of places where little ones can laugh, explore, and create memories that last a lifetime.
So, where are the best spots for kids to run, play, and enjoy the farm? Our team has rounded up their favorite places where tiny guests can have big fun, whether it’s skipping down garden paths, watching the animals, or discovering a secret hideaway.
In our gardens there are always fun and beautiful plants – and usually a few bugs – for kids to explore.

The full-grown hedge, aka the willow garden. The strawberry patch when it’s picking season. The field with pumpkins.

The field in front of the main entrance to the barn. It’s a big, open area that they can run and play.

Kids love strolling in Finch’s flower garden. Also, we always catch them rolling down the hill near the barn!

I love the tall, green natural pergola. I imagine little ones playing an amazing game of hide-and-seek in there!
—Tracy, owner of Red Poppy Floral Design
The rocking chairs on the front porch of the farmhouse are a cozy place to read a picture book with the kids. The living room and library are lovely for this, too!

For kids on the farm, one of the best places to explore is down by the pond, where they can watch dragonflies dart across the water and spot frogs and toads hiding along the edges. It’s a little world of its own — full of movement, curiosity, and the kind of simple magic that makes childhood adventures special.
Another favorite spot is the herb garden near the kitchen. Kids love running their hands through the different plants, exploring all the incredible scents and flavors. During our kids’ camps, we take it a step further by harvesting herbs to make homemade syrups for farmhouse sodas, which is always a hit. It’s hands-on, educational, and, most importantly, delicious!
—Kieron, executive chef and managing partner of Cornman Farms
There are even more ways that childhood magic comes to life at our farm, from chasing fireflies at dusk to exploring garden paths to peeking inside the barn and feeding the farm animals. Whether the kids are twirling on the dance floor at a small wedding or playing in a quiet corner, they bring a special kind of joy to every celebration.
